About the Founder

Kayla Hyatt, M.Ed, BCBA, LBA

Founder & Clinical Director of Leap Behavior Consultants

Hi, I’m Kayla — a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, educator, parent and advocate with over a decade of experience supporting children and families.

I started Leap Behavior Consultants with a goal to create an ethical, relationship-driven space where families feel heard, supported, and empowered through high-quality ABA therapy.

My journey began in 2015, working one-on-one with children with autism in schools, homes, and community settings. Since then, I’ve provided services across multiple states, worked in public and private education, and collaborated closely with families and professionals to design meaningful, individualized programming.

At Leap, we do things differently. Our approach is modern, affirming, and centered around the whole child. We prioritize connection, play, and natural environment learning over rigid protocols. We’re deeply committed to staying current with best practices in the evolving field of ABA to better serve neurodivergent individuals.

Whether we’re supporting a learner’s first words, helping them navigate friendships, or coaching through emotional regulation, our focus remains the same: build skills that bring more joy, independence, and confidence into each child’s life.

Thank you for considering us to support your child’s journey.
